Shan Kofta mix helps you prepare delicious and mouthwatering traditional Meatball Curry with its perfect blend of rich and aromatic spices.

 INGREDIENT REQUIRED

Meat

1 kg finely grounded to a paste

Onions

300g grounded

Plain Yogurt

1½ cups/300g whipped

Garlic Paste

1 tablespoon

Fresh Cilantro

2 tablespoons chopped

Oil / Ghee

175-250g

Shan Kofta Mix

1 packet

 STEPS OF COOKING
      1. In the minced meat, add half grounded onions, half yogurt, green coriander and 2 tablespoons Shan Kofta Mix. Knead to make a smooth dough. Make about 40 small round meat balls.
      2. Heat ghee and fry the remaining onions paste until golden. Add garlic, the remaining yogurt and Shan Kofta Mix. Stir fry for few minutes and then add 2-3 glasses of water. Boil for about 15 minutes on medium heat.
      3. Add meat balls and reduce the heat. Cook until meat balls are tender; about 20-30 minutes. Do not stir with a spoon.

Serving Suggestion

Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve with plain boiled rice or hot chapatis.

Tips for best results:

If the meat balls break, add a whisked egg in the mince. To make softer Koftas: soak a slice of bread in water and mash it. Then lightly squeeze out the water and mix in the minced meat.
